I am Joanna and I started Art Club Mexico City in March 2018.
The project started as a Saturday morning English-language Art Club, and has developed into classes for all ages across Mexico City. I now organise outdoor classes, art camps, an after-school program, a parent & toddler playgroup, arty birthday parties, private classes at home and more.
Just before Covid hit, Art Club had moved into a large studio in Condesa. However, due to the lockdown, I gave up the studio and instead, provided a range of virtual art classes and experiences for families; delivering art kits, sensory tables and sensory kits to families around the city, organising virtual camps for groups of children and teaching daily classes, including Digital Art, Art History, Drawing and Painting classes which reached children around the world.
This year, I look forward to continuing in-person outdoor classes and camps. Spring Break Camp is planned for April, and Summer Camp is planned for August - booking will be open very soon!
